I have the built-in audio on my mother board turned off. I don't see any relevant settings for this under the Sounds and Audio util that opens from CP. But on this comp, under XP, it only runs as a full window app. I remember that it used to be in the sys tray by default, years ago, when I was using Windows NT and also (I think) Windows 2k. Is there some way I can get this thing to display in the system tray? I've also set its Properties so that the only "fader" I see is the one for wave playback, which is the only one I need, so it doesn't take up a of room. I sometimes find it useful to be able to make system-wide vol adjustments using this. I've got a question about the default Windows volume control, sndvol32.exe, located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndvol32.exe.
